Working With ZV Design Studio

I design the interior details of custom homes: kitchens, millwork, built-ins, and the drawings your cabinetmaker and trades build from. I work directly with your cabinet supplier so the drawings are ready to build, with fewer revisions.

How it works

Four steps, and everything in writing so nothing gets missed.

Step 1: Inquiry

Send me your address, plans, and what you need help with.

Step 2: Site visit consultation

We walk the home together, I take measurements and notes, and we talk through your ideas. $225.

Step 3: Proposal

Within a few days you receive a written scope and fee for your project.

Step 4: Design and drawings

Once you approve the proposal, design begins. You receive drawings your cabinetmaker and trades can build from.

Investment

01 Site visit consultation, $225

We walk the home together, I take measurements and notes, and we talk through your ideas. Paid by e-transfer to info@zvdesignstudio.com when we book the visit.

02 Design services, from $8,000

Your exact fee depends on the size of the home, the rooms included, and how involved you need me to be: millwork drawings only, or also selections, lighting placement, and support during construction. Confirmed in your proposal after the site visit.

03 Trade pricing, passed on in full

You receive my full trade discount of 15 to 20 percent at several furniture, lighting and decor retailers. I do not take a cut. Depending on how much you furnish, these savings often cover a large part of your design fee.

Who I work with

Homeowners building a new custom home or doing a full renovation, who need detailed millwork and interior drawings. Cabinet suppliers, builders and trades who want a designer with an architectural technology background on their team, to handle the technical drawings and design details for their clients.

How I communicate: text or email first. I keep all project details in writing so nothing gets missed. If something needs a longer conversation, we book a call. I reply within one business day.
